About "EveRiwon"

In 2018, working with a youth NGO to amplify young people's voices, I realized that to design for everyone, I needed to see myself in others and them in me.

So I created "Everiwon" (everyone + Riwon) as a constant reminder of this commitment.

Eight years later, this belief still drives everything I do. I design equitable experiences and systems that bridge gaps and enable connection, because I believe technology should bring people together, not create new barriers.

Things I love

Meeting People

I love meeting people from diverse communities. In Seoul, I noticed many young people struggling with isolation in the big city, so I co-founded Seoul Chess Club where people can play chess and connect with others from different backgrounds.

Over the past year, our 300+ members have built meaningful support networks, helping one another grow both personally and professionally.

Observing through a lens

My small camera is always with me, which is the first digital device I bought with my own money. Through its lens, I've learned to slow down and notice how strangers interact, how spaces change between morning and night, and the small details that reveal how people live.

Creating things

Coding, drawing, and crocheting are the ways I externalize my ideas and make them immediately visible. They help me think by making abstract thoughts tangible.

Travle and Culture

I'm endlessly curious about how differently people live around the world. From experiencing the quiet of US holidays to meeting unexpected people in Mongolian yurts, travel constantly challenges my assumptions and reminds me that my Seoul-centered perspective is just one of many.

Each place teaches me something new about what's possible. There's always more to learn, more ways to see the world.
